Apartamenty Zacisze Overview

Apartamenty Zacisze sits tucked away on ul. Ogarna 107, right next to the quiet Stogi district. I arrived on a rainy Saturday afternoon, and the first thing that struck me was how the building blends into the old brick houses that line the street. Check‑in was surprisingly smooth – the front desk staff greeted me with a warm smile and handed over a key card in a card that felt more like a mini‑passport than a hotel key. They even offered a small notebook with local bus routes, which was a lifesaver because the bus stop is literally a block away, and the nearest tram line is a quick 10‑minute walk from the hotel.

Walking out of the lobby, the smell of fresh bread wafted through the corridor from the bakery on ul. Długie, just a few doors away. I took the elevator (it’s a little slow, but the view of the roof tiles is worth the wait), and the room opened up like a quiet sanctuary. The bed was sizable, with a memory‑foam mattress that made me think of a cloud – it’s the kind that you never want to leave. The ensuite bathroom had a rain shower that, honestly, felt like a mini spa session; the soap dispensers were filled with local sea salt soap, a nice touch. There’s a small balcony that overlooks the local market square, and the sound of vendors chatting and the distant hum of the Motława River created a soundtrack that was soothing, not noisy. Parking is a plus – there’s a small, free street parking lot right in front of the building, so you don’t have to hunt for a spot in the city center.

The next day, I ventured into the heart of Gdańsk. From Apartamenty Zacisze, it’s a 15‑minute walk to the Old Town, but I decided to take the bus instead – the route passes through Stogi, giving you a real feel for the neighborhood. I stopped by a tiny café on ul. Łękawki that serves a killer latte, and the barista, a friendly woman named Ania, recommended the local pastries – you’ll be tempted to buy a dozen. After lunch, I strolled along the Motława River, and the atmosphere was lively yet relaxed, a perfect contrast to the calm of my hotel. The night was quiet – the only noise was the occasional car passing by the street, but the building’s walls seemed to have absorbed most of it, so I slept soundly. If you’re planning a trip during the summer rush, book early because the room rates climb fast, but the peace and quiet of Apartamenty Zacisze make it worth every penny.

Exploring Gdansk offers visitors an unforgettable journey through Poland’s maritime heart, from its magnificent Gothic churches to its amber workshops and legendary shipyards where Solidarity was born.

Reviews of Apartamenty Zacisze

  • Annabel from Australia – 3 December 2024 (6/10)

Location is fantastic. Apartment is clean.

What could be improved: There seemed to be an issue with the drains in the building therefore the shower omitted a horrible smell. Hot water ran out quite quickly

  • Petra from Czech Republic – 26 August 2024 (6/10)

    The location was perfect.

What could be improved: Reception 24/7 is not true ( I even mentioned what time we would arrive ), after calling the number placeded on the reception a VERY RUDE man answered, he just said that the keys are in the room, I could not even understand what room it is. I wanted to ask some information about the location, parking, city etc. He just hung up saying that he doesn't understand much English. On the other hand Ann was very kind and helpful.
The room was not very clean – hair was all over the floor.

  • Les from Poland – 11 August 2024 (9/10)

    Location

What could be improved: Entry instructions were confusing. Entrance was difficult to find

  • Krzysztof from Poland – 1 July 2024 (8/10)

Location is perfect, apartment is bright and has astonishing view

What could be improved: Smell from shower is somehow troublesome, no toilet paper ( 🙂 ) and no broom to clean up the room

  • Maria from United States – 26 June 2024 (9/10)

The apartment was nice and clean. The location was great! The host Anna is very responsive and helpful.

What could be improved: Nothing really

  • Gustav from Sweden – 23 July 2023 (8/10)

We were a group of 6 friends. The location was perfect!!! Less than 1 minute from the city center, fairly quite back street with a pub at the ground floor! Couldnt hear any other tenants from the neighboring rooms.really good breeze during the night, so it wasnt too bad there was no AC.
The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed. The sofa bed was surprisingly comfy too.

What could be improved: The receptionist was not friendly. They didn’t want to give us an extra blanket for the chilly nights and wasn’t really nice when we checked in. Any request we had was answered with a cold straight “NO”.
The kittle at the kitchen was awfully dirty, making it unsuitable for use.
    The towels looked kinda old.

  • Darrent1991 from Sweden – 24 April 2023 (9/10)

Very close to centre with lots of restaurants and pubs

What could be improved: Everything was great

  • Laura from Latvia – 5 April 2023 (9/10)

    Everything was perfect!

What could be improved: The only thing missing was towels.

  • Anna from United Kingdom – 4 April 2023 (9/10)

The apartment was open with keys inside, we got another pair of keys as we needed from the reception.

What could be improved: The staircase is a wee bit tired, need a renovation.

  • Onni from Finland – 27 March 2023 (9/10)

What could be improved: No kitchen hood
