Apartamenty Sun & Snow Bastion Gdańsk Overview
When I first pulled up the address on my phone, I was like, “Okay, so we’re going to Apartamenty Sun & Snow Bastion Gdańsk.” The check‑in was surprisingly smooth; the front desk guy handed me a key card with a cheeky smile, and the lobby smelled faintly of fresh coffee and old books—like a cozy library but with a modern twist. I mean, honestly, the place feels like a hidden gem just steps away from the bustle of ul. Wałowa, and you can almost hear the distant laughter from the street café on the corner of Gdańsk’s Old Town. The staff were friendly, but I had to point out that the room key card had a small sticker of a snowflake on it—cute, but it did mean the Wi‑Fi password was written on a sticky note instead of the welcome pack, so I had to ask for a quick fix. That was the only hiccup; otherwise, the welcome packet had everything you’d need: maps, a local guide, and a little note about the best pierogi shop on St. Mariacka Street.
Moving to the room, I was pleasantly surprised by the space. It’s a bit more apartment‑like than a typical hotel room, with a tiny kitchenette that actually has a kettle, a microwave, and a small fridge—perfect for a quick breakfast before heading out. The bed was super comfortable, with pillows that felt like clouds, and the curtains were blackout, so I could sleep through the city’s nighttime hum. The bathroom? Clean, with a rainfall shower that made me feel like I was in a spa, and there was even a little jar of local honey and a bottle of Gdańsk‑made olive oil that made the whole experience feel extra local. The only downside? The Wi‑Fi was a bit spotty in the mornings when the building was full of tourists, but I could easily switch to the free guest Wi‑Fi in the lobby if needed. Parking is a bit of a hunt—there’s no on‑site lot, so you’ll have to use the public parking on the street next to the harbor, which fills up by 10 a.m. in summer, but for most of the year it’s a quick walk.
If you’re planning a trip to Gdańsk, you’ll want to know that this spot is just a 5‑minute walk from the Motława River and the historic Crane. I spent an afternoon strolling along the river, stopping at the small café on the waterfront where the barista knew my coffee order by heart, and then heading back to the hotel for a quick nap. The noise level is decent; there’s a bit of city buzz at night, especially on the weekends, but the building’s walls do a good job of dampening it. The best part? The local market on the 3rd floor—yes, inside the building—offers fresh fish, pastries, and a few craft beers that you can grab on your way to the elevator. I left the place feeling rested, a little more in love with Poland, and ready to explore the rest of the city. If you’re into that vibe—casual, authentic, and just a little off‑the‑beaten‑path—Apartamenty Sun & Snow Bastion Gdańsk is definitely worth a check. The staff will welcome you with a smile, the room will feel like a home away from home, and the city will welcome you back the next day with a fresh slice of pierogi and a new story to tell.
Gdansk hotels provide guests with comfortable accommodations in Poland’s maritime capital, known for its rich amber trade history and Solidarity movement heritage.

Location was central
What could be improved: After booking the property and getting confirmation, they told me that this apartment was unavailable and offered a different one outside of booking. After initial confirmation they made another 3 mistakes like this and kept changing the apartments which was very stressful, they didn't provide any confirmations and kept changing the apartments in different locations. We asked them for a telephone contact but they ignored us. In the end, we had to call them outside of booking.com to confirm everything. The staff on the reception desk was rude and unhelpful at all times. The apartment desperately needs fixing – there was no lock in the bathroom, the door was broken, we couldn't open them wide and had to squeeze sideways. The shower, Freezer doors, and balcony table were broken.Cezary from Poland – 1 May 2023 (10/10)
What could be improved: Właściwie nic. Spełniliście wszystkie nasze oczekiwania.Anonymoussssss from United Kingdom – 10 October 2022 (7/10)
Excellent location
New development
Staff communication
Clean
What could be improved: One of the two apartments starting looking a little tired with few minor things broken like a drawer in the bathroom, parts missing in the coffee machine making it unable to use, no shower gel, mattresses very soft. These were minor inconveniences and did not affect our stay.
It would be helpful if the key pick up drop off was resolved differently (key box outside the apartment?).Witold from Poland – 21 August 2022 (9/10)
What could be improved: Miejsce odbioru kluczy jest daleko od apartamentu
