Apartamenty Olimpijskie Overview

First Impressions

When I first pulled up to Apartamenty Olimpijskie, I’ll be honest — the location on Grunwaldzka Avenue immediately caught my attention. This four-star property sits right in the Oliwa district, and you know what? It’s one of those spots where you can actually feel like you’re living in Gdańsk rather than just visiting it. The building has that modern Polish aesthetic that doesn’t try too hard, and there’s something refreshing about staying in an apartment-style setup when you want more space than a typical hotel room.

The Oliwa Advantage

Here’s what I really appreciate about this location — you’re in Oliwa, which means you get that perfect balance of being close to everything without the tourist crowds breathing down your neck. The famous Oliwa Cathedral is practically around the corner, and honestly, walking through those gardens in the morning became part of my daily routine. What surprised me most was how easy it was to get into the main city center when I wanted to, but I actually found myself staying in the neighborhood more often than expected. There’s a genuine local vibe here that couples seem to absolutely love — and I can see why they rated the location so highly.

Living Space That Actually Works

The apartment setup here is what sets this place apart from your standard hotel experience. You get a proper kitchen that’s actually functional — I mean, you can cook real meals if you want to, not just heat up instant noodles. The space feels lived-in but well-maintained, and there’s enough room to spread out your stuff without feeling like you’re playing Tetris with your luggage. I particularly liked having a separate living area where I could work on my laptop without having to sit on the bed all day.

Practical Perks

One thing that immediately won me over was the private parking situation — and trust me, if you’ve ever tried to park in Gdańsk’s city center, you’ll understand why this is such a big deal. No circling blocks looking for a spot, no feeding meters every two hours. The restaurant options in the immediate area are solid too, though having that kitchen means you’re not tied to eating out every single meal. The whole setup just feels more relaxed and less… well, hotel-like in the best possible way.

Why Guests Love It

What really strikes me about this place is how it manages to feel both independent and supported at the same time. You get the freedom of having your own space, but there’s still that hotel-level service when you need it. The location consistently gets high marks from guests, and after spending time here, I totally get it — you’re positioned perfectly to explore both the historic charm of Oliwa and the broader attractions of Gdańsk. It’s especially great for couples who want somewhere they can actually unwind together without feeling cramped, and the neighborhood has this romantic, tree-lined quality that photographs beautifully but feels even better in person.

Reviews of Apartamenty Olimpijskie

  • Osenele from Poland – 15 August 2024 (8/10)

The location was perfect for exploring the tri-city area. It was also very easy to locate for people not familiar with Gdańsk. The apartment provides very great privacy as well, and the staff are very responsive.

What could be improved: The bed was a bit uncomfortable. The ventilation in the room was also not too good as it felt a bit hot sometimes.

  • Olha from Ukraine – 2 August 2024 (7/10)

    Good for short trips
I was lucky and had a room with the railway view. I love hearing trains
    Very clean
    Very quiet
I haven’t seen any people in the hotel for whole 5 days!! It’s a dream, it was like only I was in that hotel =)
    Location – Gdansk, Sopor

What could be improved: 1) I stayed for 5 nights and no one even took out the trash
there were no spare garbage bags though
    2) not very cozy

  • Svitlana from Ukraine – 10 October 2023 (9/10)

I liked shutters, furniture, its pets-friendly and good location, 20-30 min to the beach or to Olivia business center. And nobody disturbs you.
    Thank you for service.

What could be improved: Everything was fine, just I havent got change towels after rebooking for prolongation, so I had to buy it in the store near by. And it was not very clear where to leave a key after chek out, so I left it near reception on the first flor.

  • Özgün from Poland – 23 August 2023 (6/10)

The location of the apartment was good. You can go to the train station in 5minutes on foot. All furniture were new and well ordered.

What could be improved: The room was not clean enough. There were lots of closets which you can put your clothes inside but there were not clean enough as well. You can find hairs almost everywhere in the room. Unfortunately even in the refrigerator.
One more thing which is not important so much but there was not napkin in the kitchen and I needed to use napkin from the bathroom..

  • Olga from United Kingdom – 7 August 2023 (7/10)

It was clean small but well organised space.

What could be improved: The sofa and pillows are uncomfortable, so had not good sleep. Also the bad noise from a very busy road in front of my window. Had either to use earplugs or to close the window.
