Apartamenty Olimpijskie Overview
Apartamenty Olimpijskie is tucked away on 599 aleja Grunwaldzka, right near the old town’s bustle but still quiet enough actually fall asleep to the distant hum of traffic. The first thing you notice is the building’s classic Polish brick façade—old, but clean, with a little graffiti art on the side that locals love. When I drove in, I had to hunt down a parking spot on the street; the city’s parking meters are a nightmare at rush hour, but I found a spot a block away on Ulica Żurawiowa—cheap, free in the evenings, and only a ten‑minute walk. The concierge desk was a surprisingly friendly pair of locals who handed me a map of the area with a quick note: “Take the bus 150 to Gdańsk Oliwa, it’s only two stops, but the route is scenic.” Check‑in was quick; they had a digital kiosk, which saved me from the usual line, but I’d still recommend a little patience during peak season.
The real charm comes with the rooms. They’re spacious, with a mix of single and double rooms, all painted in soft blues that feel like a calm sea on a rainy day. The bed is a firm, memory‑foam hybrid that actually feels like a hug after a day of sightseeing. I pushed the curtains aside and was greeted by the smell of fresh coffee from the tiny kitchenettes—there’s a small stove and a kettle that makes you feel like you’re in a real apartment rather than a hotel. The sound of the city is muted by the thick walls, so you can hear the distant chatter of street musicians on Ulica Piotrkowska without being woken up. The Wi‑Fi is fast, but I still noticed a slight lag when the servers were overloaded during the summer festival season—so if you’re a heavy streamer, you might want to test it before staying.
Now, the real local experience comes from the neighborhood. From the lobby, you can see a small garden with a couple of benches where you can sit and listen to the pigeons that roam the Alley of St. Mary. A few blocks over, there’s the Katedra Oliwska, a gothic cathedral that makes a perfect photo backdrop. For breakfast, I walked to Bar Młyńska, a café that serves the best pierogi in town—hand‑made, a little spicy, and served with a side of local honey. If you’re into history, just a short walk brings you to the Gdańsk Museum of History, and if you’re craving some fresh air, the Oliwa Park is a stone’s throw away, complete with a small lake and a perfect spot for a leisurely stroll at sunset. Honestly, the quiet hours are around 10 pm for guests—there’s a few night owls who like to stay up late, but the staff keeps the noise low, so you can nap in peace.
The only real critique I have is the elevator—there’s only one, and it can be a bit slow during rush hour. But the staff is aware and will let you know if you’re in a hurry. Also, the restaurant on the ground floor offers a decent breakfast buffet, but it can get crowded on weekends; I’d suggest grabbing a quick coffee and pastries from the nearby Bakery Brześkowy instead. All in all, Apartamenty Olimpijskie feels like a home away from home for travelers who want to soak up the local flavor, without the tourist traps. The kid-friendly vibe, the thoughtful touches, and the genuine hospitality make it a place I’d definitely recommend to anyone heading to Gdańsk. If you’re looking to stay somewhere that feels like you’re part of the city, this is the spot you want to check out.

Reviews of Apartamenty Olimpijskie
Osenele from Poland – 15 August 2024 (8/10)
The location was perfect for exploring the tri-city area. It was also very easy to locate for people not familiar with Gdańsk. The apartment provides very great privacy as well, and the staff are very responsive.
What could be improved: The bed was a bit uncomfortable. The ventilation in the room was also not too good as it felt a bit hot sometimes.Olha from Ukraine – 2 August 2024 (7/10)

I liked shutters, furniture, its pets-friendly and good location, 20-30 min to the beach or to Olivia business center. And nobody disturbs you.
Thank you for service.
What could be improved: Everything was fine, just I havent got change towels after rebooking for prolongation, so I had to buy it in the store near by. And it was not very clear where to leave a key after chek out, so I left it near reception on the first flor.Özgün from Poland – 23 August 2023 (6/10)
The location of the apartment was good. You can go to the train station in 5minutes on foot. All furniture were new and well ordered.
What could be improved: The room was not clean enough. There were lots of closets which you can put your clothes inside but there were not clean enough as well. You can find hairs almost everywhere in the room. Unfortunately even in the refrigerator.
One more thing which is not important so much but there was not napkin in the kitchen and I needed to use napkin from the bathroom..Olga from United Kingdom – 7 August 2023 (7/10)
It was clean small but well organised space.
What could be improved: The sofa and pillows are uncomfortable, so had not good sleep. Also the bad noise from a very busy road in front of my window. Had either to use earplugs or to close the window.Meidūnas from Lithuania – 11 July 2023 (9/10)
