Apartament Św. Ducha 29-31 Overview
Apartament Św. Ducha 29-31 sits tucked between the cobblestone lanes of Gdańsk’s Old Town, just a stone’s throw from the bustling Motława River. I remember the first time I walked up to the building: the façade was a charming mix of brick and glass, the windows catching the late‑afternoon light in that warm amber glow that only a city with a thousand stories can produce. You know what, it felt like stepping into a postcard that’s actually alive. The building itself is a 4‑star spot that’s earned a solid 9 on the rating scale—no exaggeration.
When you pull into the street, you’ll notice the free parking right next to the entrance—an absolute lifesaver for those who’ve driven in from the outskirts. It’s not a massive lot, but it’s well organized, and the attendants are friendly, almost like old friends who greet you by name. Inside, the check‑in process is smooth; the front desk staff are quick but personable, and they even offer a free map of the city with the best spots marked in red. I mean, they really know their city, and that’s something you can’t fake. The lobby itself is a cozy blend of modern Scandinavian design and traditional Polish décor—think polished oak, soft lighting, and a fireplace that crackles quietly, making the place feel like a home away from home.
Now, the rooms—oh, they’re a revelation. Each apartment is a spacious, open‑plan layout with a kitchenette that actually feels like a chef’s dream: a stainless steel fridge, a small induction stove, and a sink that’s just the right height for a quick breakfast. The beds are a mix of memory foam and high‑quality linens that hug you in the morning, and the windows face the street, so you can hear the gentle hum of the city without being overwhelmed. The bathrooms are sleek, with a rainfall shower that’s both luxurious and functional. And the view? From the balcony, you can see the historic skyline of Gdańsk, with the iconic St. Mary’s Church standing tall and proud. It’s the kind of view you’d want to capture over and over again.
The real charm, though, is in the details. The staff actually remember your name after a few days, and they’ll bring you a fresh cup of tea if you’re feeling tired. There’s a small café on the ground floor that serves the best pierogi you’ll ever taste—cheese and mushroom, no, actually, the mushroom is the star. It’s the kind of place that locals frequent, and you’ll hear the barista chatting with regulars about the weather and the upcoming Christmas market. Speaking of which, the best time to visit is late spring to early fall; the streets are lively, the cafés are buzzing, and the whole city feels like a living museum. In winter, it’s quieter, but there’s a magical charm when the snow blankets the old bricks and the city’s lights flicker like fireflies.
Noise levels are surprisingly low, especially if you’re staying on the upper floors. The building’s soundproofing is top‑notch, so you’ll barely hear the traffic from the main street. The only real buzz comes from the occasional street musician or the distant clink of a glass from the nearby tavern. I mean, you can almost taste the salt in the air from the river, and the scent of freshly baked rye bread wafts through the streets at dawn. It’s a sensory overload in the best way—warm, earthy, and utterly Gdańsk.
Overall, Apartament Św. Ducha 29-31 is a place where the past and present dance together. It’s not just a hotel; it’s a slice of local life, a place where you can feel the pulse of Gdańsk without being a tourist in the usual sense. If you’re looking for a spot that feels like home, that’s genuinely comfortable, and that gives you a taste of the city’s soul, this is the place to go. You’ll leave with memories of the river’s lullaby, the taste of pierogi, and the comfort of a room that feels like it was made just for you.

Spacious and beautifully designed apartment. The whole apartment was like an Ikea roomset. Very central location. Quiet apartment despite being in the city. Clear instructions from host on how to pick up key. Clean
In the wider area, cars are limited to a one way system which helps limit noise. Police stopping vehicles from entering including our Uber, but it was close enough. You get a feeling of safety in the city, hardly saw any police and not many sirens. Very pretty and absolutely TONS of things to see. We had good food too. Tried the Polish dumplings with sour cream, yummm. Staff in restaurants and bars are very friendly. Josef K was the bar we liked best.
What could be improved: Very dark on approach road to apartment, with big dips to fall into. The toilet stopped flushing and I emailed and messaged the host and they never replied, we had to use bucket of water to flush the loo. I deducted a rating because everything else was great. Really dark in the stairwell too, no lights, need to use your torch. Neighbour who live there permanently glared at us and was quite hostile. Having said this, we still had a great time.
More generally, we found the trains quite difficult to work out.Caroline from United Kingdom – 28 October 2024 (8/10)
Excellent location
What could be improved: Bar across road noisy at weekend until 3/4amTommi from Finland – 5 October 2024 (8/10)
Apartment was nicer than I expected from photos. top location. Kitchen had everything we needed. Living room/kitchen area was roomy enough for three of us. Recommend this apartment for others also

Everything was just perfect. Especially the location. It is next to the city center. The flat is clean, spacious, and well maintained. The host was caring for our needs.
What could be improved: I asked the host for the second pair of towels, because providing a single towel for each guest is not hygienic, there should be a towel for bathing and anther towel for just washing your face. In principle, a third towel should also be provided for your legs, but I don't want to be too snobbish about that. The host very friendly to provide extra towels for us. I did appreciate that.George from United States – 1 June 2024 (8/10)
Great location, spotless accommodations, very responsive, great value. Highly recommend this.
What could be improved: A little noisy when windows are open.Erik from United States – 3 March 2024 (8/10)

The apartment was great! Located perfectly in old town and a simple walk anywhere. It was clean and comfortable. Perfect for 2-4 people. The host was responsive and gave good directions for entry.Kristelle from Norway – 29 November 2023 (9/10)
Modern apartment at the heart of the city.
The location is superb with restaurants and gorcery stores nearby.
The host is very responsive.
What could be improved: Can be a bit noisy from the busy street at night during weekend.
The hot water lasts for only after 2 consecutive showers.Jacob from Sweden – 4 August 2023 (8/10)

It is just walking distance to the old town, train station, restaurant and shopping mall. The airport is 30 mins away with an uber taxi. The house is clean and smells good when we arrived. You have everything you need in the kitchen if you want to cook. It has fridge, an oven and a microwave. They also have a dishwasher & washing machine. The bathroom was clean and they have towels, the bedrooms are big and clean. The host is very accomodating. We arrived early in the morning, and normal check in is at 3pm, but we were able to check in at 1pm.
What could be improved: One of the bedrooms is facing a busy street with bar and restaurant, so its not easy to sleep at nights. You need to have with you an earpod if you want to get a sleep. The door knobs are loose in the bathroom and in one of the bedrooms, the microwave is not working.Aleksandra from United Kingdom – 23 July 2023 (8/10)
Fabulous location and surprisingly quiet! Lovely spacious flat. Would recommend
