Apartament Seagull Overview
I just got back from a weekend in Gdańsk, and honestly, the first thing that struck me about Apartament Seagull was the vibe in the lobby. The staff were super friendly—no stiff smiles, just warm smiles that made you feel like you already knew each other. Check‑in was quick; they gave us a keycard and a map of the city with stickers for the best coffee spots (I mean, who doesn’t love a good latte at a local café?). The building itself is on Kopernika 16c/7, so you’re literally on the main street that snakes through the old town, but the apartment’s window faces the quieter side of the city, away from the usual tourist bustle.
The room? Well, it’s like a cozy loft with a view of the Motława River—so early mornings you can hear the gulls and the distant hum of the ferry crossing. The bed was super comfortable, and the linens felt like a soft hug. The kitchenette is surprisingly well‑equipped; I was able to whip up a quick omelet and a cup of coffee without having to leave the room. I noticed a small, vintage radio on the shelf—turns out the owners love old jazz records, and I could hear a mellow saxophone track in the corner (talk about a relaxing soundtrack). Parking is a no‑no for cars, but there’s a small paid lot across the street if you’re bringing a rental; it’s not a fuss, just a quick 20‑minute walk to the apartment. Noise levels are pretty low—late night traffic is muffled by the high walls, so you can sleep through the night without any neighborhood chatter.
When I went out to explore, Apartament Seagull was the perfect base. The building is right next to the National Museum of the Polish Navy, so I spent a rainy Saturday afternoon strolling through the maritime exhibits, then grabbed a quick sandwich at a tiny bistro on Dluga Street (the one with the neon sign that says “Kawiarz na Dluga”). The area around Kopernika is packed with little shops and street art, and the vibe shifts from quiet and historic in the morning to lively and full of street musicians by late afternoon. I even took a short walk to the European Solidarity Centre, which feels like stepping back into history. For night owls, there’s a hidden bar with a great selection of Polish craft beers in the basement of a building a block away—you’ll find it only if you ask the locals.
Overall, staying at Apartament Seagull felt like staying with a friend in a city that’s both old and fresh. The only thing I’d tweak is the Wi‑Fi speed; it’s decent for browsing but a bit slow for streaming. But honestly, that’s a tiny price to pay for the comfort and the genuine local feel. If you’re heading to Gdańsk and want a place that feels like home, with easy access to both the historic heart and the quieter neighborhoods, I’d say this is the spot for you. The staff will greet you with a friendly wave, the room will feel like a sanctuary, and the city will unfold right outside your window. I can’t wait to come back next spring, maybe stay a bit longer, and explore a few more hidden corners of this beautiful city.

Przytulny apartament obok restauracji z pysznym jedzeniem (niestety tylko okołoweekendowo), na osiedlu kameralnym, z placykiem zabaw. Liczne tramwaje bardzo blisko.
What could be improved: W samym apartamencie wszystko było ok. Może poza zasięgiem prysznica 😉 (pół łazienki w wodzie).
Brak sklepu spożywczego w okolicy.Marcin from Poland – 15 August 2023 (10/10)
Przestronne pokoje, gry dla dzieci, parking podziemny
Jarosław from Poland – 21 July 2023 (10/10)
Polecamy.

Teren zamknięty. Przypisane miejsce parkingowe w podziemnym garażu. Mieszkanie ładnie i funkcjonalnie urządzone, wyposażone we wszystkie urządzenia domowe. Bardzo dobrze wyposażona kuchnia: kuchenka mikrofalowa, płyta indukcyjna, czajnik elektryczny, naczynia, talerze, sztućce. Dostępne środki czystości i ręczniki.
Cicha okolica, niesłyszalni sąsiedzi, za oknem dużo zieleni. Duży balkon z możliwością odpoczynku: stolik, krzesła. W każdym pokoju telewizor z mnóstwem kanałów UPS + bardzo szybkie wi-fi. Winda z podziemnego parkingu pomaga w szybkim transporcie bagaży. Duży plus za naprawdę konkretną segregację odpadów.
What could be improved: W upalne dni przydałby się jakiś wiatraczek w pokoju.Joanna from Poland – 24 July 2022 (10/10)

The apartment is located in a quite place surrounded by lots of the trees not far from the city center. It took us about 20 minutes to walk to the center with kids. The building is new, with comfortable territory around, parking, the apartment itself is spacious enough for a family of four people. It's got comfortable beds, a small, but well equipped kitchen, pretty balcony, excellent wifi – everything needed for a nice stay in Gdansk. The host is a very nice person. Thank you very much for your hospitality! We really enjoyed staying in your apartment 🙂
