Apartament Płocka 2 Overview
Apartament Płocka 2 sits tucked into the cobblestone lanes just off Płocka street, right where the old harbor meets the bustling market square. I remember walking in on a crisp January morning, the sea air salty and the bells of St. Mary’s Basilica ringing in the distance. The building itself is a charming four‑star apartment complex that feels more like a home than a hotel—walls painted in soft cream, a small balcony overlooking the Motława River, and a tiny kitchen equipped with a kettle and a few local baked goods. The first thing you notice is the friendly staff who greet you with a warm smile and a quick tour of the amenities. They’re not the impersonal, “our policy is…” sort of people; they actually remember your name after the first chat, which is a little rare in this part of town.
The rooms are spacious, which is a relief because the city can feel surprisingly cramped. The bed is a generous king‑size with linens that feel almost like a hug. The bathroom is a clean, minimalist space with a rainfall shower—though I must admit the water pressure sometimes dips to a trickle, a minor annoyance when you’re already exhausted from a day of sightseeing. Wi‑Fi? It works, but it’s a bit sluggish during peak hours, so if you’re streaming or working, you might have to plan your tasks around the slower connections. The breakfast area is cozy, with pastries that look fresh but are a bit small for the price; I’d recommend ordering a coffee and a bagel to stretch the budget. Parking is a bit of a hunt on the street, but the nearby underground lot at the shopping center is a lifesaver—just a short walk, and you’re done.
What really makes Apartament Płocka 2 feel like a local’s nest is the little details that only someone who’s lived here would know. Just a block away, there’s a tiny café on Długi Targ where the owner knows your favorite order—her cinnamon rolls are a must‑try. If you’re up for a walk, the harbor path is quieter after 9 pm, and you can hear the gentle lapping of the waves against the pier. I actually took a detour to the old port’s fish market on a Sunday; the smell of fresh cod and the chatter of vendors added a layer of authenticity to the trip. The check‑in process at Apartament Płocka 2 is efficient: they give you a digital key and a quick map, but the first time I arrived, the staff misread my reservation number, so I ended up waiting a few minutes in the lobby. Not a big deal, honestly, but it did make me realize how often small hiccups happen, even in a place that otherwise feels polished.
If you’re visiting during the summer, expect the surrounding area to buzz with tourists, especially near the pier and the Gdańsk Crane. The street music and street food stalls can be a bit loud, but it’s part of the city’s charm. On the other hand, stay there during the off‑season, and you’ll find the city almost whisper‑quiet, perfect for a relaxed getaway. I mean, the only thing that could be better is a quiet morning with no traffic from the highway that cuts through the south side of the city. Overall, Apartament Płocka 2 feels like a friendly, well‑maintained home base that lets you step out into one of Poland’s most historic cities without feeling lost. The blend of local character, practical comforts, and a staff that seems genuinely invested in your stay makes it a standout choice for anyone looking to experience Gdańsk like a real resident.

What could be improved: Plamy na kanapie w salonie.
I rzeczywiście przeszkadza w nocy lampa w korytarzu, zbyt wrażliwy czujnik ruchu.Sylwiaandrzej from Poland – 25 November 2024 (10/10)

Artur from Poland – 17 September 2024 (10/10)
Pobyt w apartamencie był rewelacyjny. Wyposażenie, komfort na szóstkę z plusem. Polecam jak najbardziej.
