Apartament Old Town Tartaczna 9D Overview
Apartament Old Town Tartaczna 9D sits right on Tartaczna street, just a stone’s throw from the cobbled lanes of Gdańsk’s historic center. When I first walked up the narrow steps, the smell of fresh pierogi wafting from a nearby bakery was instantly comforting—like a warm hug from the city itself. The front desk was surprisingly efficient; the staff handed me a key card and a quick map of the area, and I was in my room before the train even finished its last stop. Parking is a bit of a hunt; there’s a small municipal lot behind the hotel, but it fills up fast during the summer, so you might want to take a short walk or grab a local bus instead. I found the room itself to be a cozy blend of modern and traditional: the wooden floorboards creak softly when you step, the linen feels buttery, and the view from the balcony—oh, the view!—is a panorama of the old town’s rooftops, perfect for a sunset coffee. The noise level is pretty good; the only sounds that intrude are the occasional honk from the street below and the distant church bells that seem to say, “welcome back.”
After settling in, I wandered down to the nearby Old Town Tartaczna 9D and discovered a few hidden gems that locals swear by. The little café on Młyńska street serves the best espresso—strong, slightly sweet, and you’ll hear the barista humming a Polonaise as you sip. If you’re looking for a quick bite, the bakery on Długi Targ offers a rye bread sandwich that practically melts in your mouth. I also found that the hotel’s check‑in desk is open until 10 pm, which is a lifesaver if you’re arriving late after a day of sightseeing. The only real drawback is that the kitchen area can get a bit noisy on Friday nights when the staff is preparing for the weekend rush—though honestly, it’s a small price to pay for the convenience of having a full-service kitchen right in the building. For quieter moments, head up to the balcony in the early morning; the city is almost silent except for the distant gulls and the gentle hum of traffic. The best time to stay here is late spring to early autumn; the streets are lively but not overcrowded, and you can enjoy the local markets without the rush of peak tourist season. Overall, it’s a spot that feels like a home away from home, with the kind of warmth that only a true Gdańsk experience can bring.

What could be improved: NothingØverby from Norway – 14 December 2023 (9/10)
Stedet lå ikke langt unna Old Town og fasiliteter.
God seng.
Анна from Ukraine – 21 November 2023 (9/10)
