Apartament Morena Gdańsk Overview
Apartament Morena Gdańsk sits on a quiet corner of Myśliwskie Wzgórze, just a stone’s throw from the buzzing street of Gdańsk’s old town. I first spotted it on a rainy afternoon in late October, when the cobblestones were slick and the sky was a bruised purple. The building itself is a tasteful blend of modern glass panels and classic brick, a nod to the city’s architectural history. I remember the receptionist greeting me with a warm smile, almost as if she’d known me from a previous visit—she was quick to show me the keycard and explain that the check‑in time was a bit earlier than the standard 3 pm, which was a lifesaver after a long flight.
Walking out of the lobby, the scent of freshly baked rye bread drifted from the bakery on the next block, and a faint hum of traffic was replaced by the gentle clatter of a nearby café. The hotel’s location is a sweet spot: not so far from the Old Town’s historic sights, yet far enough that you can hear the city’s nightlife without it becoming a lullaby of sirens. I was able to park a short walk away at the municipal parking garage on Gdańska Street—no need to hunt for street slots, and the parking fee was a reasonable 8 zł per day. The staff were helpful, handing me a map that included a shortcut to the ferry terminal, which I used on my last day to cross the Bay of Gdańsk.
The rooms are where Apartament Morena Gdańsk truly shines. Each unit feels like a home away from home, with a small kitchenette, a comfy sofa that actually folds into a bed, and plenty of natural light. I spent an afternoon in a room overlooking the old town’s rooftops, and the view is surprisingly crisp even in winter—just enough to see the spires of St. Mary’s Basilica. The bathroom was spotless, with a deep soaker tub that made my tired muscles melt. The only downside was that the air conditioning unit made a faint whirring noise at night—nothing major, but it was a small reminder that the building is relatively new.
One thing that really impressed me was the staff’s knowledge of the local scene. The front desk manager recommended a hidden gem of a pier—just a 10‑minute walk from the hotel—where you can catch a sunset over the Baltic Sea and taste the freshest pierogi from a vendor who has been there for 25 years. He also mentioned that the best time to visit the nearby Łękno Park is early in the morning when the mist rolls over the trees; the park is a quiet sanctuary that feels miles away from the city’s hustle. For those of you who love brunch (and I do), there’s a café on the street that serves a legendary coffee latte—just don’t ask for it in the afternoon, because the barista will tell you it’s “too strong for the midday slump.”
When it comes to noise, Apartament Morena Gdańsk is fairly quiet, especially on weekdays. The only real disturbance comes during the summer tourist season, when the nearby street market gets lively and the traffic can be a bit chaotic. But I found that the building’s windows are well-insulated, so the chatter outside doesn’t seep in. The hotel also offers free Wi‑Fi, which was fast enough for my remote work—though I had to pause my video call for a brief moment because the signal dropped when the elevator was busy.
Overall, staying at Apartament Morena Gdańsk felt like stepping into a well‑kept secret of Gdańsk. The combination of a prime location, thoughtful amenities, and a staff that genuinely cares about your experience makes it a top pick for anyone looking to explore this beautiful city without the usual hotel fuss. If you’re planning a trip, I’d say book early—especially if you’re traveling during the peak tourist season, because the rooms fill up fast. And trust me, the tiny balcony in your room, where you can sip a glass of local wine while watching the city lights flicker, is a moment you’ll want to savor again and again.

Ładny widok z góry 😎
What could be improved: Brak placu zabaw. W pobliżu plac jest zamknięty, chyba prywatny.Julia from Poland – 30 October 2023 (10/10)
What could be improved: Wszystko było super 🙂Thomas from Germany – 5 October 2023 (8/10)
Parkplatzsituation abends sehr schlecht.Agnieszka from United Kingdom – 29 September 2023 (10/10)

What could be improved: Nie ma takiej rzeczyAndrzej from Poland – 3 July 2023 (10/10)
Bardzo miła i pomocna właścicielka. Lokalizacja nam bardzo odpowiadała. W pobliżu są 2 żabki, pizzeria, piekarnia. Pokoje czyste.
What could be improved: Minusem są przelatujące samoloty pasażerskie z lotniska. My nie mieliśmy problemu z parkowaniem.
