First Impressions

When I first walked into Apartament Liczi, I honestly wasn’t expecting much from a four-star apartment rental — but this place completely changed my mind about staying in Gdańsk. Located on the 26th floor of a modern building, the views alone are worth the stay. You know what really impressed me though? The fact that they’ve managed to create this incredibly homey atmosphere while still feeling polished and well-maintained.

The Heart of Old Town

The location is actually ridiculous — and I mean that in the best possible way. You’re literally steps away from the Motława River and all those iconic colorful townhouses that everyone posts on Instagram. I could walk to the Neptune Fountain in about three minutes, and the famous Crane (Żuraw) was right there whenever I looked out the window. What’s even better is that you’re close enough to everything to walk, but far enough from the main tourist drag that you’re not dealing with crowds when you come home. The building sits right in Rybaki Górne, which honestly feels like you’re living like a local rather than just passing through.

The Space Itself

The room setup is pretty smart — it’s designed like a proper studio apartment rather than just a hotel room with a mini-fridge. The kitchenette actually has everything you need if you want to grab groceries from the nearby Biedronka and make breakfast (or late-night snacks, which I definitely did). The bed was comfortable, and I appreciated that they’d thought about storage space — there’s actually room to unpack if you’re staying more than a night or two. The bathroom is compact but functional, with a decent shower that had good water pressure.

Practical Perks

Here’s something that saved me a lot of hassle — the free parking on site. If you’re driving in Gdańsk (which I was), you know how much of a pain parking can be in the old town area. Having a guaranteed spot meant I could actually relax and not worry about moving my car every few hours or paying those steep daily rates at public lots. The building itself feels secure, and getting up to the 26th floor is quick with the elevator. WiFi worked perfectly fine for video calls, which was important since I was mixing some work with vacation.

Why Guests Love It

I can see why couples rate this place so highly — there’s something romantic about having your own little nest high above the city, especially when you can see the Gdańsk skyline and the Baltic Sea in the distance. The 9.2 rating makes total sense when you factor in the location, the space, and honestly, the value for money. You’re getting the independence of an apartment with the convenience of hotel-style booking and check-in. It’s not fancy or over-the-top, but it’s exactly what you want when you’re exploring Gdańsk — a comfortable, well-located base that doesn’t break the bank.

  What could be improved: Bed was a fold-out sofa, so could have been more comfortable. They could also have included some more information to help me find the bedding (I ended up using the spare bedding from the cupboard by mistake.)

  Świetna lokalizacja. Czysto, schludnie i dobrze wyposażony aneks kuchenny. Bardzo dobry kontakt z właścicielem. Idealnie na wypad nad morze dla pary.

  Fajny przytulny apartament , nie duży ale na pobyt do 2 tygodni w sam raz. Bardzo gościny i pomocny gospodarz / wlaściciel. Lokalizacja idealna , blisko do dworca głównego i przystanków tramwajowych a także do starego miasta . Samochodem też be. Żadnych problemów i duży plus za garaż w cenie pobytu. Polecam bardzo.   It was spotlessly clean, well equipped, coffee, tea in the kitchenette, good location close to the centre as well as to the shipyards and Montownia food court. Our apartment 26 was on the 4th floor with yard view. Communication with the manager also good. Extensible sofabed and armchair quite OK.
  
  What could be improved: It is new building- you can hear the neighbours if louder than they should be. Also the constantly running air condition distributes whatever your neighbors cook to your place. And is a bit loud for poor sleepers as us. I would add some warmer blankets. We used 2 for each (1+one spare) and it was OK then.
