Apartament Lawendowe Wzgórze Overview
Apartament Lawendowe Wzgórze is tucked up a gentle slope that gives you a killer view of the old town, but the real magic is how quiet it is when the city’s traffic is just a distant hum. I arrived in late afternoon, and the staff at the little front desk—there’s a friendly face who greets you with a warm “Dzień dobry” even if you’re not speaking Polish—made the check‑in feel like a welcome hug rather than a bureaucratic formality. They handed me a key card, explained parking (there’s a small paid garage a block down on Gdańska Street, but you can also find free street parking on the corner of Szeroka and Młynarska if you’re a real street‑savvy traveler), and even tipped me off that the elevators are a bit slow but they don’t mind a short wait.
The apartment itself is a cozy blend of rustic chic and modern convenience. The wooden floorboards are a warm chestnut, and the curtains are a soft lavender that actually reminds me of the name of the place. The living area opens onto a balcony where you can hear the gulls and smell the faint scent of sea‑salted air mixing with the aroma of fresh rye bread from the bakery on the next block. I spent a good chunk of the evening sipping coffee on the balcony, watching the sun dip behind the St. Mary’s Church bells—an experience you probably don’t get at every hotel in Gdańsk. The kitchenette is well stocked with a kettle, a small fridge, and a set of local pickles that I swear taste better than anything you can buy in a supermarket. The bathroom is spotless, with a shower that has a good water pressure—honestly, it’s one of those small luxuries that makes a difference after a long day of sightseeing.
When I walked out of the building, the street was lined with local cafés that buzz with conversations in Polish, and there’s a small market on the corner of Ogrodowa Street that sells fresh apples and smoked fish—great for a quick snack before heading to the waterfront. The hotel is a stone’s throw from the old port; you can walk to the Straszyn station in about ten minutes, and from there you’re connected to the tram lines that take you straight to the beach. If you’re staying during the summer, expect a bit of noise from the nearby Toruń Street traffic, but the building’s solid construction keeps the city’s bustle at bay. I’d say the best time to grab a coffee is early morning, before the city’s rhythm picks up—there’s a quiet lull that’s just perfect for people‑watching.
Long story short, Apartament Lawendowe Wzgórze feels like a home away from home. The staff are genuinely helpful, the apartment is clean and functional, and the location is unbeatable for anyone who wants a mix of historic charm and modern comfort. If you’re planning a trip to Gdańsk and want a place that’s not just a hotel but a little slice of local life, this is the spot. I’ll definitely be back next summer—there’s something about the way the light hits the old brick walls that just calls me back.
Apartments in Gdansk provide travelers with authentic local experiences, allowing them to explore traditional Polish markets and cook with fresh Baltic Sea specialties.

Zdecydowanie polecam to miejsce😊

Czysto, wygodnie, na miejscu komplet ręczników, suszarka do włosów + kawa, cukier, małe udogodnienia wielkiej wagi 🙂
Do centrum dojazd tramwajem jakieś 25 minut plus czas dojścia z mieszkania na przystanek jakieś 10 minut.
Ogólnie polecam 🙂Jakub from Poland – 7 September 2024 (10/10)

What could be improved: wszystko było perfekcyjne 💪🏻Julia from Poland – 6 June 2024 (8/10)

Polecam to miejsce. Jest nawet deska z żelazkiem co było dla nas bardzo pomocne ponieważ przyjechaliśmy na rodzinną uroczystość. Pozdrawiam
