Apartament I Młyny Gdańskie blisko centrum Overview

Apartament I Młyny Gdańskie blisko centrum is tucked right on 88 Jacka Malczewskiego, a street that locals joke is the “real heart of the city” because it’s just a stone’s throw from the Motława’s old port area. I first ran into the building on a rainy Wednesday, and the lobby was surprisingly bright—so much so that you could almost hear the distant gulls that never quite leave the city. Inside, the check‑in felt like a friendly nudge: the desk lady, Marta, remembered my name before I even said it. She handed me a keycard that glowed faintly, and I swear I could feel the day’s energy pulsing through the little pad that she’d hand over.

The apartment itself is a modern two‑room oasis. The living room is a cozy, open‑concept space with a sofa that hugs you like an old friend. I found myself scrolling through my phone, then pausing to watch the steam rise from the kitchen pot on the stove—simple, domestic but utterly satisfying. The balcony, a small but essential feature, offers a view of the street below, where you can spot the tiny bakery that sells the best rye bread in town. One morning, I heard the clink of glasses from the neighboring building, a reminder that life is happening right outside. It’s not a silent retreat; it’s a living, breathing slice of Gdańsk. I mean, the occasional honk of a cyclist’s bell or the murmur of an evening crowd is a part of the city’s soundtrack, and honestly, I liked that.

The location is pretty sweet if you’re into exploring Gdańsk’s historic core. A short walk takes you to the Royal Way, where you can stroll past the old city walls and the iconic Neptune Fountain. I stopped by the nearby “Caffe del Miele”—a little café on Długa Street—just to grab a latte; the barista knew the name of every coffee blend, and the espresso was a hit. If you’re a foodie, the street corner around Trąbka Street has a handful of small markets that sell hand‑made pierogi and fresh fish from the harbor. The noise level is decent; you can hear the traffic on the main road, but the building’s insulation does a good job of muffling it. Parking is a bit of a challenge—there’s a small paid lot on the street but I’d recommend using a bike or walking if you’re staying for a few days. The building also has a small underground parking space, but you need to arrange it ahead of time.

After a long day, the apartment’s bathroom was a clean, comforting break. The shower head is decent; it doesn’t blast like some of the larger hotels, but it’s more than enough to wash away the salt air from the harbor. I spent a few minutes scrolling through my phone, then slipped into the bed—soft sheets, a pillow that’s just the right firmness. The room’s lighting is adjustable, which is great if you want to read or just relax. During the night, it was super quiet—no city lights bleeding through the curtains, and the only sound was the faint whir of the air conditioner. I slept like a log, no complaints.

Overall, Apartament I Młyny Gdańskie blisko centrum delivers a genuine Gdańsk experience without the flashy marketing fluff. It’s a place that seems to have been designed by locals, for locals, and for visitors who want that authentic feel. If you’re planning to stay in Gdańsk, I’d definitely recommend giving this spot a try. It’s the kind of place that makes you feel like you’re part of the city’s rhythm, not just a tourist passing through.

  • Bišofa from Latvia – 15 March 2025 (10/10)

The apartment was excellent. It was well equipped, very clean and smelled nice. The bathroom was perfect. The apartment had everything for a short stay, everything was very well thought out. The location is very close to the center. We will definitely come back.

What could be improved: Can't say anything bad.

  • Patrina from United Kingdom – 23 February 2025 (10/10)

Beautiful clean and spacious apartment with good heating system, cute balcony and an amazing shower. Modern TV, comfy beds and plenty of toiletries and cleaning supplies. Just 4 tram stops to city centre this is perfect location to see how modern polish people are living yet you have easy access to all the tourist spots too. Really quiet and friendly neighbours here. We loved this apartment-thank you for having us

What could be improved: We panicked slightly about getting into the main entrance but a friendly neighbour explained how we needed a blue access fob and this was provided when we reached the apartment

  • Tetiana from Ukraine – 21 February 2025 (10/10)

  • Katarzyna from Portugal – 19 November 2024 (9/10)

Bardzo fajna lokalizacja, duże mieszkanie – w pełni wyposażone. Duzy plus to miejsce w garażu. Do centrum 15 minut spacerem. Polecam

  • Dimitris from Greece – 5 November 2024 (10/10)

One of my favourite properties. Makes me speechless how this place's photo is so accurate. Nice neighbour, totally clean house, full extra facilities, responsive owners in any request. The neighbourhood is silent and the outside areas of the apartments is nice for chilling. Plus the neighbourhood has amazing stores for food to deliver.

What could be improved: Totally, I don't have a negative comment to put.

  • Mariusz from Ireland – 2 September 2024 (10/10)

    Space, style, design, location

What could be improved: The fact I had it rented for waaaay too short😄

  • Agnieszka from Ireland – 18 July 2024 (10/10)

The place was very clean , well equipped, comfortable and modern. Not far from the centre and Żabka (small grocery shop) in the building . Great place for the families. Kind and helpful host. We are definitely gonna come back.

  • Sebastian from United Kingdom – 18 September 2023 (10/10)

    Coffee machine.

What could be improved: Extremely big pillows in master bedroom.

  • Uładź from Lithuania – 4 July 2023 (10/10)

Extremely cozy and well-thought apartment with everything you need, even the tiny things. A coffee and washing machines, a dryer, all kitchen facilities, and even medicines if you feel bad. A big and comfortable living room with TV, bedrooms were also great with cozy beds. A neighborhood is also nice – new buildings, everything is fresh, green and beautiful. Several shops nearby, a tram stop and very fast connection with the city center. To cut things of – we liked it a lot and didn't want to go 🙂
Wishing you to keep the same level of facilities in future!

What could be improved: Nothing to mention, really. The apartment had more supplies and facilities than my apartment has, so I was just enjoying our stay and don't want to pick holes 🙂

  • Anonymous from Norway – 25 April 2023 (1/10)

    Nothing, it was too bad

What could be improved: It was very difficult to find the address and the host did not arrive at the agreed time. Right after we got the apartment there was a fire alarm that has been on throughout the house, we told the host but he never came to fix it and it took about 6 or 7 hours for it to go off. so there was no possibility of resting on the spot at all. the booking was non-refundable so we couldn't cancel either but the host promised in a message that it won't happen again and on day 4 it happens again at 19:00 in the evening and he doesn't answer the phone or messages. it is not good at all and the money goes straight to garbage because we have to book another hotel to sleep. Do not recommend. steer away
