Apartament Gdańska Overview

Apartament Gdańska is tucked into a quiet corner of Brzezno, right on Gdańska 21S, which feels like a secret alley off the main city buzz. When I first walked up the cobblestones, the street was already alive with the scent of fresh polish pastries from the bakery two blocks over—your classic “paczka” that sticks to your shoes for days. The building itself is a charming, two‑story brick structure that looks like it could have been there since the 1930s, but the interior is a breath‑of‑fresh‑air cottage with a modern twist. You know what, the lobby has this little art gallery of local photographers that changes every month, so you can literally see the city through their lenses while you wait for the key.

Check‑in was a surprisingly smooth affair: the front desk guy had a friendly grin and actually asked if I needed my luggage lifted—he’s one of those locals who knows you’re a solo traveler. He handed me a keycard that glowed a subtle teal, which feels oddly futuristic against the antique mahogany desk. Parking is a definite plus; there’s a small, private lot behind the building that’s always empty during the weekdays, and the attendants will drop your car in a spot close enough that you don’t have to hustle across the street. The only thing that could use a tweak is the Wi‑Fi name—“hotel_wifi” feels a bit like the 1990s. Still, the signal is strong and the speed is decent for streaming your favorite shows.

The apartment itself is a 1‑bedroom suite that feels like a second home. I mean, the living area is huge, with a plush sofa that practically hugs you, and a kitchen that’s fully stocked with all the essentials: a French press, a set of copper mugs for your espresso, and a good selection of Polish teas. The bed is a king with mattresses that don’t sag, and the linens are crisp—like the kind that make you want to sleep in until noon. The bathroom is a quiet sanctuary, complete with a rain shower that’s louder than you’d expect for a city hotel; it’s that “waterfall” kind of flow that makes you forget the noise outside. Speaking of noise, the building’s double‑glazed windows are a lifesaver—once the city lights flicker on, the apartment stays as calm as a library.

The morning routine is a highlight. I’d step out onto the balcony (yes, there’s one—think of it as a balcony, not a balcony) and inhale the sharp, salty breeze that comes from the Baltic Sea. It’s a perfect way to start the day before heading to the nearest tram stop. The tram line 5 takes you directly into the heart of Gdańsk, and from there you can hop on a bike or stroll to the old market square. I also found a hidden gem: a small café called “Café Wierzba” on the corner of Grzybowska Street, which serves the best pumpkin soup in town. I’ll never forget the crunchy crust of the bread that accompanies it—pure comfort food.

If you’re visiting during the summer, there’s a gentle bustle. The streets near Apartament Gdańska get a bit louder as people head to the beach, but the building’s insulation keeps the noise at a whisper. In the winter, the streets are quiet, and the occasional sound of a horse‑drawn carriage passing by adds a touch of romance. The staff at the front desk are always handy with directions, and they’ll even recommend the best pier for watching the sunset over the harbor. Honestly, staying at Apartament Gdańska feels like having a local friend’s living room in the middle of the city—warm, welcoming, and just a few steps away from everything you could want to explore. If you’re looking for that blend of comfort and authenticity, this place is your next stop.

Many travelers prefer to book apartments in Gdansk through trusted local agencies that provide insider knowledge about the best neighborhoods for experiencing the city’s maritime heritage and cultural attractions.

Reviews of Apartament Gdańska

  • Oliver from United States – 5 June 2025 (10/10)

Phenomenal apartment – new building, well decorated, superbly equipped (everything you can think of in the kitchen, bathroom, beach accessories, bikes), good quiet neighborhood, great and polite host, best apartment we ever stayed in

What could be improved: Everything was perfect!

  • S from Poland – 16 May 2025 (10/10)

To było cudowny pobyt. Apartament piękny, urządzony że smakiem, na bardzo wysokim poziomie. Czyściutki, przytulny, zawierający wszystko czego potrzeba aby odpocząć. Właściciele cudownie mili, wspierający i kulturalni.

What could be improved: Nie było ani jednej rzeczy, która by nam się nie podobała.

  • Anna from Poland – 11 May 2025 (10/10)

    wystrój, przestrzeń, udogodnienia ❤️

What could be improved: sterylność; przy dzieciach bałam się, żeby niczego nie pobrudziły 😁

  • Sławomir from Poland – 3 May 2025 (10/10)

Modern place close to the beach and other worthy location. Good communication to city center (15minutes ride) with pretty high number of Bolt taxis always close.
Really good owner and all was as expected.
Apartment fully equipped and what you need is only food to take or eat outside whatever you prefer.
Really good place for family of 4.
    Fully recommend this place.

What could be improved: Nothing, all was perfect and as expected.

Beautiful and well equipped apartment with everything you need and more! We were welcomed by the host who showed us around and left some treats for us to enjoy (champagne, fruit, sweets and fresh flowers). Good location, close to the beach, public transport and the local shops. Everything we needed was available in the apartment. Lovely touch to provide coffee, coffee cream, various teas, still and sparkling water. 4 bikes (2 mountain bikes and 2 city bikes) and a small gym available for the guest use. Good communication with the hosts who were attentive and flexible to ensure we had a pleasant stay. Great value for money. Really hope to return here next time we're visiting Gdansk!

    What could be improved: Nothing!

  • Sylwia from Czech Republic – 20 April 2024 (10/10)

Great. Clean place. All what you need with parking place and gym in the building handy. The owner very pleasant and communicative. I can recommend for your stay. 4 bikes available. 10 minutes to the beach .

What could be improved: Nothing to say here.

  • Catharina from Austria – 29 March 2024 (10/10)

Very clean, new and very comfy, well equipped, groceries in walking distance, tram stop directly to city (20min), beach in walking distance, fitness room and bikes for free, garage parking

  • Carl from Sweden – 28 July 2023 (10/10)

The apartment had everything you can possible need for a vacation or long term stay. Fully equipped kitchen with fridge, freezer, dishwasher, oven and even a microwave. There were three big wardrobes with a lot of space inside. In the cleaning cabinet was an iron and hover and in the bathroom a washing machine. We even had bikes and gear for the beach to our disposal. Nice spacious balcony with morning sun. Free parking space in the garage and also a indoor gym.

What could be improved: The curtains could be of the type that doesn't let the sun in. It got very bright early in the morning. Was also surprised that the backyard didn't have a outdoor barbeque, Polish people seems to love to grill 🙂

  • Daniela from United Kingdom – 3 June 2023 (10/10)
