Apartament Gdańsk Starówka – Parking gratis Overview
When I first stepped out of the train in Gdańsk, I was looking for somewhere that felt like a home, not just a place to crash. I found it on Łąkowa Street – Apartament Gdańsk Starówka – Parking gratis – and honestly, the moment I walked into the lobby, I knew I’d made the right choice. The doorbell rang, a friendly receptionist greeted me with a warm smile and I was handed a key card that glinted like a little piece of the city itself. The check‑in was quick and the staff were so relaxed that you could almost hear them tasting pierogi in the corner of the room. They handed me a list of local cafés and told me the best time to visit the Old Town market square – the golden hour after the bells of St. Mary’s Church ring is when the crowds thin and the light is perfect for photos. Parking is free, which is a huge relief because most of the old town is a maze of cobblestones and you’re usually hunting for a spot; here, I could just lock the car and relax.
Inside, the apartment felt like a slice of modern Gdańsk. The living area is open and airy, with a sofa that’s softer than a memory foam mattress, and a small kitchen that has everything you need to whip up a quick breakfast – the coffee maker is a real gem and the kettle whistles like a tiny alarm. The room itself has that charming old‑world feel: hardwood floors that creak just a little when you step on them, a white wash of paint that keeps the space bright, and a balcony that looks out over a quiet alley where you can hear the distant hum of traffic but still feel like you’re in your own little bubble. Soundproofing is decent – the street noise from the market is muffled by the thick walls, but if you’re a light sleeper, it might be good to put earplugs in. I found the bed surprisingly comfortable; the mattress had that right amount of spring that doesn’t feel like a mattress from a hostel. The bathroom has a rain shower that feels like a spa (though the water temperature can be a bit on the cool side for those who love a hot shower). You’ll notice the apartment has a small kitchenette – not a full kitchen, but the essentials. The room had a fresh scent of lemon after a quick wash, and the curtains let in the soft light of dawn, which is a treat. I also noticed a small storage area with a rack for coats, which is handy if you’re coming from a chilly winter.
The real charm, though, is the neighborhood. You’re just a five‑minute stroll from the Old Town’s main square, where the golden Neptune Fountain stands guard and the street performers draw a crowd. If you’re hungry for authentic Polish cuisine, head over to the “Złota Altana” on Żabia Street – the pierogi there are legendary. For a quick coffee, the little café on Gdańska Street offers a latte that tastes like a hug. The hotel’s proximity to the Gdańsk Canal means you can walk along the water with a glass of wine in hand, especially during the summer evenings when the air is warm and the lights

Location is great. The apartment is very clean and is equipped with everything you need for a stay.
What could be improved: The sofa bed was not very comfortable, but what do you expect from the sofa.Ann from United Kingdom – 6 April 2025 (9/10)
Lovely modern apartment and good neighbourhood. Location was 10 minutes walk from Old Town and close to supermarket. Communication with host was excellent too.
What could be improved: The view from the balcony was of a derelict building, that was the only negative.Laura7_9 from Poland – 2 January 2025 (10/10)

It is an apartment in an new building within walking distance from the old town. 100% self check in through the use of a code and a lockbox. The apartment is spacious and suitable for even longer stays. The view from the balcony, if this is something you look for, is not the best, onto a brick wall of another abandoned building. Safe parking is available in an underground garage. The parking space is located between concrete pillars and a wall. Fortunately there we not many cars in the parking lot which made it a bit easier to park. Otherwise squeezing a big 5 meter long sedan into that parking spot requires some time and planning. All in all good value for money.
What could be improved: The cleanliness of the bathroom could have been a bit better. We found several dark hair of previous visitors lying around in the bathroom, especially the shower. It was not a deal breaker for us, but some people care more than others. In all other aspects the bathroom was clean and nice.Theresa from United Kingdom – 14 September 2024 (10/10)
Perfect location 10 min walk to centre of old Town. Very quiet location. Apartment was modern and Immaculate. Very well equipped. Host was very quick to answer any questions I had. Easy check in instructions. This apartment is the best I've ever stayed in just perfect.
What could be improved: Nothing not to love about this place.Raminta from Lithuania – 26 July 2024 (10/10)
The apartment is in a brand new building a quarter away from the downtown. A parking lot in the garage is an advantage. There is a small grocery store just some 20 m away. All amenities, birds singing in the morning, sparkling water and a box of chocolate for children and a smell of cleanliness made our stay just wonderful.

Location, modern house, parking, coffe machine. Communication with owner. A little sweet treat to please.
What could be improved: A little uncomfortable sleeping couch.Akshay from Netherlands – 27 March 2024 (10/10)
Extremely clean, spacious apartment, great responsive host available on call. Although the property does not show up on maps yet, rest assured- it exists. The building is newly constructed and is state of the art.
PS: Very sweet gesture by the host to leave a box of chocolates for hungry kids to devour -thank you very much!Mert from Turkey – 25 March 2024 (10/10)
