The check‑in was quick, thanks to the friendly staff who actually showed me how to use the smart key system; no fumbling with the old card machine, which is a relief when you’re on a tight schedule. The only little hiccup was a slightly slow Wi‑Fi during the lunch rush, but it’s still fast enough to scroll through Instagram or send a quick email before you head out to see the Crane.

Walking out of the front door, the first street you hit is Rajska, lined with those classic red‑brick houses that make Gdańsk feel like a living postcard. From there, you can stroll just a stone’s throw to the Motława River – the sound of the tide, the distant clatter of boats, and the salty wind that makes the whole area feel alive. I love that the hotel is close enough to Długi Targ where you can grab a coffee and people‑watch, yet far enough that the night‑time buzz doesn’t drown out the quiet you can enjoy in your apartment. My room was a real find: a sun‑lit loft with a balcony that looks out over the market square. The bed was super comfy (I swear I slept like a log), and the bathroom had that spa‑like feel, complete with a rain shower that’s just right for a quick rinse before a night out. I did notice the heating isn’t the most efficient early in the morning, but you can easily add a throw blanket – a small but handy detail that keeps the chill away.

Parking is a bit of a gamble in Gdańsk, but Apartament enjoy! Gdańsk Old Town offers a modest underground spot for a small fee, which is a huge win if you’re driving. You won’t have to circle the old town looking for a space, and the security guard at the gate is super friendly, giving it a breeze of safety. Noise-wise, the building is well insulated, so you can hear the distant traffic but not the honking that can creep in from the main square. The best time to visit for a quieter vibe is early in the morning or late at night – I found the streets to be almost deserted around 2 a.m., which is perfect for a quiet walk along the river. The only thing that could be better is a more robust breakfast menu; the pastries are great, but I would love to see a few more local specialties beyond the usual croissants. Still, the overall experience is stellar – 9.9 stars and a perfect blend of comfort, convenience, and that unmistakable Gdańsk charm that makes you want to stay longer and explore more of the city’s hidden corners.

  The apartment was perfect. It has everything we needed. The location was very near to historical landmark, restaurants, cafe and public transportations. The bedroom has blackout curtains and blinds that block away the morning sunlight so we can sleep comfortably. Plus the host was very kind to check if everything was ok upon check in.
  
  What could be improved: The water tap at the kitchen sink splashed a lot and wet the kitchen counter. This could be easily improved by fixing the water tap head 🙂

  We really enjoyed our stay in this beautiful bright apartment in the very convenient location right in the city centre. The apartment has everything you need in the kitchen to make food, a coffee machine, 2 big TV screens, conditioner, balcony with a great view. Also the owner Roman was so quick to reply to all questions we had, and we felt that he was genuinely caring about his guests. I’d totally recommend to stay here to our friends.

Great central location with a walking distance to Dlugi Targ (yet, not noisy), with loads of convenience stores around it; easy to access, has all the things one would potentially need or can think of alongside a very comfortable bed and an amazing coffee.
