Apartament Długie Ogrody Overview
Apartament Długie Ogrody was tucked away in the quieter part of Gdańsk, on a street called Długie Ogrody that really lives up to its name—long, green gardens that feel like a secret pocket of the city. I arrived around 4 pm on a Thursday, the kind of day when the city is buzzing but still has that late‑afternoon lull. The front desk was staffed by a young Polish woman who greeted me with a warm smile and handed over a key in a tiny, almost hand‑painted case. She told me the check‑in was quick, no long queues (which is a relief after a rough flight). I even got a small bottle of local mineral water that had a faint hint of mint—nice touch.
The apartment itself was a four‑star gem, not over‑the‑top but well thought out. The living area is a bright, airy space with floor‑to‑ceiling windows that offer a view of the gardens and a glimpse of the street below. The curtains are a soft cream that feels like a gentle embrace. The kitchen is fully equipped—there’s a range, a small fridge, a kettle that boils in seconds, and a set of well‑balanced pots. I spent a Sunday morning making my own pierogi, and the smell of the dough hitting the pan was oddly comforting. The bed is a real find—plush mattress, high‑quality linens, and a bedside lamp that casts a soft, warm glow. The bathroom is modern, with a rain shower and a surprisingly large basin that makes washing up feel like a mini spa.
What really makes Apartament Długie Ogrody stand out is the neighborhood. The street is lined with small cafes, a branch of the local bakery that sells rye bread with a crust so crisp it crackles under your teeth, and a tiny market stall that sells fresh herbs—an aromatic reminder that Gdańsk still feels local. I walked down to Apartament Długie Ogrody’s corner and found a small park where children chase each other, their laughter echoing off the cobblestones. There’s a parking space right outside the building, which is a lifesaver when you’re juggling luggage and a rental car. Noise-wise, it’s remarkably quiet at night, even though the city is alive; you can hear the distant hum of a streetlamp flickering and the occasional soft murmur of neighbors. The only time I was bothered was during the summer festival on the main square, when the traffic noise seeped through the windows, but that’s a small price to pay for being close to the action.
When the evening rolled in, I decided to explore the local dining scene. I found a cozy bistro on Gdańsk’s famous Gdańska Street, just a 15‑minute walk. The owner, a middle‑aged man with a thick accent, recommended a plate of kaczka z gruszką (duck with pears) that was simply divine—juicy, tender, and the pears added a subtle sweetness. The next night, I returned to Apartament Długie Ogrody to relax, and the garden’s evening breeze was so gentle it almost felt like a lullaby. I could hear the faint hum of the city, the distant call of a street vendor selling grilled sausage, and the occasional splash from a nearby river—sounds that make you feel part of the city’s rhythm.
All in all, Apartament Długie Ogrody feels like a hidden oasis in Gdańsk. It’s the kind of place you’d recommend to friends who want a blend of comfort, local flavor, and a touch of tranquility. If you’re planning a trip, consider staying here—you’ll get a genuine slice of the city that’s both familiar and surprisingly fresh.

Lokalizacja idealna!! Zaraz obok starówki. Blisko sklepy, komunikacja. Dużo ręcznikow, kuchnia bardzo dobrze wyposażona. Osobne 3 zamykane sypialnie. Ładne wyposażenia. Super kontakt z osobą wynajmujacą
What could be improved: Problem był z wodą.
