Apartament Aurora, Free parking Overview
When I first walked up to Apartament Aurora on św. Barbary 12 m. 87, I was already feeling the buzz that Gdańsk’s Old Town throws at you—street musicians, the scent of fresh pierogi wafting from a nearby market, and the faint hum of the city’s tram line. The front desk was a quick, friendly nod from a young receptionist who handed me a keycard without a fuss—no long queue, no “please wait for the manager.” Check‑in time was at 3 p.m., but the staff offered to store my bags right away, which was a lifesaver since I had a half‑hour drive from the airport. They even mentioned that the free parking lot, tucked behind the building on a quiet side street, was usually empty in the evenings, so no need to hunt for a spot in the city’s maze.
The room itself was a slice of modern comfort: a king‑size bed with linens that felt like a cloud, a flat‑screen TV with plenty of streaming apps, and a kitchenette that made it feel like I was staying in a home rather than a hotel. I could hear the distant clatter of a nearby café (the one on Młynarska, I swear it’s the best espresso in town), but the apartment’s windows were treated with double‑glazing, so the city’s night sounds were muffled—perfect for a restful sleep after a day of sightseeing. The bathroom was surprisingly spacious; a rain shower and a decent-sized tub for when you want to soak after a long walk along the Motława. Honestly, the only thing I’d tweak is the Wi‑Fi password being a bit more straightforward—just a quick “Your password is on the second floor, next to the elevator.”
What really made Apartament Aurora stand out was how seamlessly it blended into Gdańsk’s everyday rhythm. From the moment you step out, you’re within walking distance of the bustling fish market and the historic St. Mary’s Church—just a ten‑minute stroll, or a quick bike ride if you’re feeling adventurous. I took advantage of the free parking to explore the northern neighborhoods at night; the streets of Zwycięstwa were calm, with only a few late‑night diners firing up their grills. During the summer, the area around the port gets lively, but Apartament Aurora remained a quiet retreat, offering a respite from the crowds. If you’re planning a visit during the peak season, booking early is a smart move—reviews on Booking.com note the 9.7 rating, but that’s just the tip of the iceberg. The real charm lies in the little things: a handwritten welcome note left on the dining table, a small bottle of local vodka, and the staff’s genuine enthusiasm for recommending the best pierogi stalls. For me, this place isn’t just a hotel; it’s a local’s secret, a place you’ll want to return to whenever you’re back in Gdańsk.

What could be improved: Eine Teekanne wäre nicht schlecht.Elena from Denmark – 20 April 2025 (10/10)
Great location, clean, neat apartment very well planned, divided in sleeping area and cooking/eating/entertaining area, nice bedrooms, good bathrooms, plenty of space, very modern and beautiful.
What could be improved: We liked everything but the curtains in the bedroom with one single bed (the middle bedroom) kept falling down (some problem with the stopper). And it would be nice to have a bath curtain in the bath, as it was difficult not to splash some water on the floor.Lisa from United Kingdom – 17 April 2025 (10/10)
This apartment was fabulous. We stayed as a family and couldn’t recommend it highly enough. The decor was beautiful, it was large and we loved the balcony and having 2 bathrooms were a huge bonus. The location was fantastic within walking distance to lots of bars, restaurants and shops and there is an amazing Thai massage place next door. Communication with the host was perfect too. Would not hesitate to stay here again and have recommended to friends and family. Super.

Such nice hosts. All aminities were available – and it was so close to everything (christmas market, centre of town, restaurants, the river). Walking everywhere was so easy and great. The hosts let us stay until it was time to go to the airport – even beyond the normal check-out time. So nice!! Wonderful location, wonderful restaurants close by. Really – if I go to Gdansk again – this is where I am staying.!!

The location was really great, in nice and quiet neighbourhood, but close to the city centre. The appartment had everything, was very well equipped, modern, clean. Parking spot is a perfect plus. Definetely recommend the place.

Modern and clean apartment, perfect for a group of 6, with comfortable beds and spacious rooms. Excellent location, close to city centre but also very quiet at night. The apartment had all facilities you’d require. We’d highly recommend to all looking for an Apartment in Gdansk.

Everything is perfect! It's also a convenient location for getting to the Old Town, supermarkets, restaurants or a train station (Gdansk Główny)
