Apart Neptun Overview
Apart Neptun sits tucked in the heart of Gdańsk, on Grząska 1, right where the city’s old charm meets a hint of modern hustle. Walking down Grząska, you’ll notice the street’s cobblestones still whispering stories from the past, and the hotel’s façade blends with the historic buildings, giving it a subtle, almost secret‑like vibe. The first thing that hits you is the lobby’s warm, polished wood and the aroma of fresh coffee that lingers from the corner café on the ground floor—yes, it’s that same café where locals sip their morning espresso while scrolling through their phones. Check‑in is quick, but you’ll find a short queue when the morning rush hits, so grab a coffee and chat with the friendly front desk staff; they’re surprisingly down‑to‑earth and love giving out street‑wise tips. Parking is a bit of a puzzle—there’s a small paid lot behind the building, but it’s usually full during peak season, so I’d suggest using a nearby public parking garage on Gdańsk’s main street, then a quick walk or short tram ride to the hotel.
When you step out, the city feels both alive and calm, depending on the hour. Early in the morning—say 6 a.m.—the streets are quiet, the only sounds are distant church bells from the nearby St. Mary’s Basilica and the gentle sway of the Motława River. By mid‑morning, traffic starts to buzz; there’s a subtle hum from the nearby university students, but it’s not overwhelming. The hotel’s windows open onto a street that’s a mix of old cafés, a vintage bookshop, and a small market stall selling fresh pierogi—so you’re practically in the middle of Gdańsk’s culinary scene. The noise level is perfectly balanced; you can hear the city, but the hotel’s thick windows keep the bustle from becoming a lullaby for your ears.
Room-wise, Apart Neptun feels like a cozy apartment rather than a typical hotel room. The décor is a blend of Scandinavian minimalism and maritime accents—think navy blue cushions against crisp white linens. The bathroom has a glass shower that looks out onto the cityscape, perfect for a quick dip after a day of sightseeing. I found the Wi‑Fi to be spot-on, and the flat‑screen TV comes with a decent selection of local channels, which is handy if you’re trying to catch up on Polish news. The bed is surprisingly comfortable—firm yet plush, like a good night’s sleep after a day of walking cobblestones. I did notice the minibar was a bit pricey, but you’ll get a good mix of local craft beer and a few local snacks if you’re feeling adventurous. Overall, the hotel offers a genuinely local feel—no corporate drone vibes, just a place that feels like it knows the city inside and out. If you’re planning a trip to Gdańsk, Apart Neptun is a solid choice that blends comfort, convenience, and a touch of that old‑world charm that makes the city so memorable.

Everything! The room was to a very high standard, the breakfast was excellent with very friendly staff. The location, very close to the Cathedral enabled us to see all the local sites.
What could be improved: A small point. Taxis cannot come to the front door during working hours. The receptionist was clueless as to where to pick up the taxi we had ordered when leaving. A moment of panic as we had a train to catch.Janet from United Kingdom – 16 May 2025 (9/10)
Great apartments. Super clean and spacious.
very friendly and help full staff.
Fabulous location in quiet side street right in the middle of the old town
What could be improved: A bit on the warm side. Might benefit from aircon in the summer
