Altstadt by Little Heaven Overview
First Impressions
When I first walked up to Altstadt by Little Heaven on Tartaczna Street, I honestly wasn’t sure what to expect from the name alone. But stepping inside this four-star boutique property, you immediately get why it’s called “Little Heaven” — there’s something genuinely peaceful about the place that feels like a retreat from the bustling tourist crowds just steps away. The building itself has this understated elegance that fits perfectly with Gdańsk’s historic character, and you can tell they’ve put real thought into making guests feel welcome without being overly formal about it.
Location That Actually Matters
Here’s what I love about staying here — you’re literally in the heart of the Old Town, but on a quieter street that doesn’t get the constant foot traffic of the main tourist drags. I mean, you can walk to the famous Neptune Fountain in about three minutes, and the colorful merchant houses along Długi Targ are right there when you want them. But when you want to escape back to your room, you’re not dealing with street noise or crowds of tour groups. The couples who rate this location so highly (apparently 9.6 out of 10) really know what they’re talking about — it’s that sweet spot where you feel connected to everything without being overwhelmed by it.
The Rooms and Comfort
The accommodations here strike that perfect balance between modern comfort and respecting the historic setting. My room had these lovely touches that felt thoughtful rather than trying too hard — good lighting for actually reading, a comfortable bed that didn’t creak when you moved, and windows that actually opened to let in fresh air from the Baltic. You know what really impressed me? The attention to soundproofing. Even though you’re in the city center, nights are genuinely quiet, which isn’t something you can take for granted in most European old towns.
Practical Perks
One thing that sets this place apart is the private parking on site — and honestly, if you’ve ever tried to navigate Gdańsk’s old town by car, you’ll understand why this is such a big deal. Most hotels in this area either don’t offer parking at all or make you hunt for street spots that may or may not exist. Having your own secure space means you can actually explore the wider Tri-City area without the stress of wondering where you’ll leave your car when you get back.
Why Guests Love It
After spending time here, I get why this place consistently scores so well with visitors. It’s not trying to be the flashiest hotel in Gdańsk, but it delivers on the things that actually matter when you’re traveling — a great location that puts you right where you want to be, comfortable rooms that help you recharge, and those practical touches like parking that eliminate daily hassles. The staff genuinely seems to care about making your stay work well, and there’s something refreshing about a place that focuses on doing the fundamentals really well rather than overwhelming you with unnecessary extras. For exploring Gdańsk’s incredible history and architecture, you really couldn’t ask for a better base.

W połowie drogi między Dworcem PKP a Starym Miastem. W pełni wyposażony apartament, z wszystkim czego potrzeba do codziennego funkcjonowania. Samodzielny check-in, z instrukcją i kluczami w skrytce przy drzwiach. W łazience zestaw ręczników, minikosmetyków i ukryta pralka. W salonie TV, ale nie korzystaliśmy. W sypialni duża szafka i wieszak na garderobę. Trzeba uważać na głowę przy skosach 🙂

What could be improved: Niektóre elementy wymagają poprawy lub wymiany, ale to wynika z naturalnego użytkowania. Ale to wszystko to takie drobne rzeczy, które można naprawić w godzinkę.Güngör from Turkey – 30 May 2025 (8/10)
Temiz ve şehir merkezine çok yakın.

It was enough space for two, it’s was very close to old town. In apartament we find everything what was need it. We had a good communication with apartment mate.
What could be improved: We don’t have it a big cause at all only small on bathroom, hut in general the place a really nice.Magdalena from United Kingdom – 12 May 2025 (8/10)

What could be improved: Jedynie mała poprawka na kran w łazience ze się rusza, ale to mały drobiazgIain from Poland – 20 April 2025 (8/10)
Lot’s of space
What could be improved: No WiFi. The passwords provided by the property didn’t work. The owner (not consultant) must fix this.Kamil from Poland – 2 April 2025 (9/10)
