(2) GDAŃSK, Długie Ogrody 18 – Rooftop Terrace, parking is tucked into a quiet corner of the 18th‑century Długie Ogrody street, just a stone’s throw from the bustling Motława River. I remember stepping out of the taxi and being greeted by a small, almost inconspicuous lobby that felt more like a cozy living room than a hotel entrance. The staff, a couple of friendly locals, offered a quick map of the city and a few insider tips—“Check out the street art on Błociszewska, and you’ll find a hidden café that serves the best espresso in town.” Parking is a real perk here: an underground spot that’s free for guests, tucked behind a discreet service entrance that you can access via a short walk from the main entrance. I parked my car there in the middle of the night knowing I’d be safe and not have to hunt for a spot on the busy street.
The room itself is a solid blend of modern charm and understated Polish décor. The walls are a muted beige, and the bed, with its crisp white linens, makes you want to stay in for a while. I didn’t have to wait long for the check‑in box to open; the receptionist was quick and polite, and the keycard felt almost like a passport to the city. The bathroom is surprisingly spacious—think cathedral ceilings—and the shower has that satisfying, gentle pressure that makes you feel like you’re in a spa. The noise level was quiet, except for the occasional hum of traffic from the street and the distant clink of glasses from the rooftop bar. Speaking of the rooftop, I spent a lazy afternoon on the terrace, sipping a chilled glass of local Riesling while watching the city’s skyline glow at sunset. The view is nothing short of breathtaking: the old town’s cobbled streets, the gleaming façade of the St. Mary’s Church, and the far‑off shimmer of the Motława River. I found myself thinking about the history that must have unfolded in those very streets, and how the city’s past blends seamlessly with its present. The terrace is also a great spot to meet other travelers—there’s a small, well‑placed table by the railing where I chatted with a couple from Spain about the best pierogi spots.
Walking out of the rooftop, I was drawn to the nearby street market at the Green City. The vendors were shouting, the smell of freshly baked rye bread floated through the air, and the sound of live music from a nearby café made the whole experience feel alive. The real charm of (2) GDAŃSK, Długie Ogrody 18 – Rooftop Terrace, parking is how it feels like a home base: the staff know the best hidden gems, parking is hassle‑free, and the rooftop gives you a front‑row seat to Gdańsk’s soul. I’d say honesty is the best policy when recommending this place—it’s not a fancy luxury hotel, but it’s a comfortable, thoughtful spot that feels like a local’s favorite café. If you’re planning to stay in Gdańsk during the busy summer months, the hotel’s location is just a short walk from the Old Town, and the quiet nights are perfect for a good book or a relaxed conversation with a new friend. In short, this place made my trip memorable and I can’t wait to go back—though I’ll probably need a new passport just to keep up with all the delicious pierogi I’ve discovered along the way.

The location is perfect – walkable distance from all city center destinations.
There is Biedronka supermarket across the street and Zabka convenience store in the same building.
Also, it has parking – really important!
It was not hot in the flat, even when there was over 30’ degrees celsius outside. We kept blinders closed and it was not hot.
The terrace on the rooftop had a nice view and seating area.
What could be improved: We had to rewash plates and pans – they were not clean, that made me question if other things as floors were cleaned.
It was really noisy in the morning (but that also could be related to the fact that we stayed during Polish bank holiday, so there was temporary marked in the same street as the building).
There was no hand towel in bathroom and no small towels for face.Žilionytė from Lithuania – 10 July 2023 (10/10)
Great location, contactless check in and check out, great interior.
